Zuka stood on the surface of the ringworld, marveling in it's beauty. Never before had he seen the Forunner world, let alone stood on it. The fact that he had been recruited to help guard the instalation was a great honor indeed. His squad stood at rigid attention as they walked over to the gray building in front of them, truly forunner in design. He "smiled" as he walked up to the door, and it split in half, to either side of him.
His squad proceeded through the gray corridors, this ring was the beginning of the great journey. He glanced over at the lesser prophet, who was hovering along in the chair beside him. "And this is the building we must secure?" He asked thoughtfully.
yes, you and your squad will be tasked with the protection of this area...you'd do well to complete your work...
Zuka blinked at the prophet, had that been a threat? Never mind, it did not matter, he knew the prophets were overprotective of forunner artifacts. He couldn't help but feel an odd sense of dread from the ring world, almost like it's purpose was being covered up...he hadn't exactly believed in the great journey to begin with.

Zuka, and one of the other elites in his squad patrolled the long corridors of the forunner building. Both were silent for the time being, but had talked extensivly about they're thought on Halo, his companion's thoughts seemed to border on his own, that the ring was meant for something else.
He decided to check on how the engineering group was doing on cracking the code to the door down further. He and his squad mate descended the long, spiraling ramps that led down the the locked door. Upon arriving, the two elites serving as the engineers escort saluted, and took a step back.
Zuka looked at each of the engineers, and turned to the grunt standing beside them. "How is your progress coming along?" He asked.
"We th-think we should have it cracked within the next couple days." The grunt said, it in it's high pitched, and nervous voice.
A few more days?...How long could it take to get through the door, could they not simply destroy it? Oh well, a few more days would not impede the great journey to much...
A whir is heard as the door slides open, the engineers looking satisifed at their work.
The grunt jumped back in surprise. "Or...er...today?"
He looked to the Elite major beside him, and the two minors. "Follow me in, tell the engineers to follow us." He looked at the grunt. "Hurry and notify the prophets of our progress, tell them that I sent you regarding the great journey's progress."
He turned and walked through the door.
