Personality: Karj is ruthless and brutal, taking delight in killing things, but is a coward at heart. While he will battle overwhelming odds when surrounded by allies or in a good position he is unlikely to ever consider a fair fight. He is about as careful a planner as Jackals get, an opportunist who favors ambushes, sniping, and flanking to get an edge over enemy combatants. He has at times been called to lead squads of fellow Jackals or Grunts (who he is notorious for abusing), but is usually deployed under an Elite to hold a vital position or use guerilla tactics to pick off enemy troops.
Quick Biography: Karj was born on the Jackal homeworld, Eayn. Like most of his people he was trained to be a brutal, cunning warrior who lived for battle. Jackals are afforded a low status in the Covenant, which Karj made the best of by abusing his subordinates, the Grunts. He pays the Covenant ideals of a "Great Journey" only lip service, and is a mercenary rather than a true member of the Covenant. He has yet to encounter a large force of humans, though he assisted in the destruction of the Human outer colonies, and hopes to meet the UNSC forces in head on battle (head-on being relative. He would rather encircle and obliterate them than attempt a charge on their lines), for the slaughter will be glorious.
Description: Karj is slightly shorter than most Jackals, standing at 5'6". His skin is yellow-green, his eyes are yellow with emphasized red veins, and he has a toothy, crocadillian snout. As a Jackal Major he wears orange armor, and his plasma shield is orange. His gauntlets, on the other hand, are purple. He has three-toed, clawed feet and three fingers on each hand, one of which is an opposable thumb. A crest of white hair reminiscent of a Roman soldier's helmet plume runs from the top of his neck to the center of his head. He is almost always carrying a weapon, and clearly has the experience necessary to use it.
